Personal Training

We offer 3 types of personal training. The Active Life program is 1-1 coaching that allows us to help you get out of pain while still being able to workout. It can best be described as blending physical therapy, corrective exercise, and fitness. We are the only facility in the Hudson Valley to offer this.

The hybrid program is 1-1 coaching for the person who is looking for personal training for any goal but also wants the flexibility to attend a group class or open gym. The Hybrid program gives you 20 personal training sessions and 24 custom designed class or open gym workouts. The Hybrid program can also include the Active Life program for people who have pain. 

The fitness specific program is 1-1 coaching for anyone looking to accomplish a specific goal such as losing weight, gaining muscle, toning, increasing strength, endurance training, police/fire/military test training, and more.

Our group classes are structured differently than what you normally see in a gym. Since fitness is a personal journey, your group class should be tailored to you. The coach of the class plans and administers a warm up for everyone in the class. Each person in the class chooses their workout options from the choices for that day including powerlifting, toning, strength, endurance, intensity, etc. The coach explains and instructs on technique and helps formulate an approach to the workout. Everyone does their workout at their pace and level of ability while the coach assists with cues and advice.

The main force behind Move The Needle is a deep desire to help individuals achieve their long-term diet and nutrition goals. Whether you’re seeking help with weight loss, sports nutrition, or disease prevention, each client is individually evaluated by a professional Nutrition Coach and provided with a well-researched and comprehensive plan they can follow for the rest of their lives.

Pilates can be used to help clients overcome an array of physical ailments and conditions. My approach is aligned with Joe Pilates’ original instruction & method, focusing on intentional breathwork and strengthening the core + seldom used muscle groups in order to establish proper alignment.
