NYSHIP Medical Massage Therapy

Your NYSHIP health insurance covers 20 medical massages per calendar year for each person under your plan. Getting started is easy.

Step 1: Make an appointment with a doctor or chiropractor to obtain a prescription for massage therapy. Prescriptions are valid for 12 weeks. You will need a new prescription every 12 weeks. If you don't have a doctor or chiropractor or if you prefer you can make an appointment with our friends at Scarano Chiropractic.

*Please be able to complete a minimum of 6 massages in a calendar year or a fee of $135 per massage will be applied.
